MLC Warrior Football Camps
Coaching Staff
Camp will be coached by the MLC Football Coaching Staff which has experience on the high school and college levels. In addition, the coaching staff will be assisted by Warrior football players who have received all-conference honors. _______________________________________________________________________________
Kelley Lee - Offensive Coordinator
Kelley Lee enters his first season as the offensive coordinator for the Warriors. Lee has spent the last two seasons as offensive coordinator/recruiting coordinator and academic coordinator at New Mexico Military Institute Junior College, in Roswell, New Mexico. Lee has also spent time teaching and coaching in the high school ranks. Lee was a teacher and Assistant Head Coach at Hot Springs High School in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico (1999-2001, 2004-2005) and a teacher and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Alamogordo High School in Alamogordo, New Mexico (2003-2004). Lee has also spent time as Running Backs coach, Quarterbacks coach and Passing Game Coordinator at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico (2001-2003).
Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science/Social Studies from Western New Mexico University (2000), plus a Master’s of Science in Sports Administration from Eastern New Mexico University (2003). While a student-athlete at Western New Mexico University, Lee played quarterback, and lettered three years for WNMU in Silver City, New Mexico. _______________________________________________________________________________
Antoine Manning - Special Teams/Recruiting Coordinator
A Miami, Florida native, Antoine Manning will be entering his first season in 2008 at Midland Lutheran College. He will take over as the special teams/recruiting coordinator and secondary coach as well as a physical education instructor for Midland Lutheran. Last season he was the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Eureka College. He has also assisted the Cornell College program as defensive backs and kick return coach in addition to serving as interim head men’s tennis coach. While at Cornell, the Rams led the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in kickoff return yardage (772 yards) and ranked second in average return yardage (18.8 yards/return). They also began the season 2-0 for the first time in 13 years.
Manning played wide receiver and special teams at Lambuth (TN) University (1999-2000) and at Western Illinois University (2001). He was also a member of two NAIA playoff teams at Lambuth. Manning then served as a receivers coach at Kentucky Wesleyan and South Dakota State University. With his help, the SDSU offense set single game records for rushing yards, touchdown passes and total offense, with Josh Davis setting the career reception record.
Manning graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, with an emphasis in birth to 21. He has received a master’s degree in sports pedagogy with an athletic administration emphasis from South Dakota State University. _______________________________________________________________________________
Theo Bland - Assistant Football Coach - Wide Receivers/Head JV Coach
Theo Bland enters his third full season as an assistant coach for the Warriors. The Ottuma, Iowa native had a stellar career at Midland Lutheran College as a receiver from 2000-2003. Bland holds the career record for touchdown receptions at MLC with 18. In addition to his coaching duties, Bland is Communications Coordinator in the Office of Events and Conferencing at Midland Lutheran.

Joe Kaup - Assistant Football Coach - Quarterbacks
Kaup returns to Midland Lutheran College to coach the quarterbacks. A native of Snyder, Nebraska, and a 1997 graduate of Midland Lutheran, Kaup played for the Warriors from 1992-1993. Kaup, 33, brings twelve years of coaching experience and has worked with players on the offensive side of the ball on the NAIA and NCAA level. Kaup earned his Masters degree in Physical Education/Coaching from Nebraska-Omaha in 1999. Kaup also teaches at Omaha Nation High School in Macy, Nebraska.

Jeremy Hlavac - Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line
Jeremy Hlavac enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Warriors. A native of Bruno, Nebraska, Hlavac played offensive line for the Warriors from 2003-2005, before a leg injury sidelined his playing career.
Hlavac will help coach the offensive linemen, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the coaching position.

Bob Denton - Assistant Football Coach - Defensive Line
Denton begins his second year as an assistant coach for the Warriors. A native of Omaha, Denton holds the career record for sacks at MLC. A 1989 graduate of Midland Lutheran, Denton has three children, Brennan, Marlee, and Maxie.

Brian Lauck - Assistant Football Coach - Outside Linebackers
Brian Lauck continues his football career at Midland Lutheran as the Outside Linebackers Coach. Lauck, who played for the Warriors from 2003-2006, was team captain and Danny Cobb Memorial Teammate of the Year for MLC in 2006. The native of Pierce, was a two-time NAIA Scholar Athlete at MLC.

Jeremy Caudillo - Assistant Football Coach - Inside Linebackers
A consistent player for the Warriors on the defensive side of the ball, Jeremy Caudillo will assist the Warriors this season as the Inside Linebackers Coach. A native of North Platte, Caudillo played for the Warriors from 2004-2006 and will teach the Warrior linebackers the traits that made him successful as a player.

Hank Schollmeyer - Assistant Football Coach - Kickers & Punters
Hank Schollmeyer returns for his seventeenth season as the coach for Kickers and Punters. A native of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, Schollmeyer played kicker, punter, and linebacker for the Warriors from 1978-1982. Schollmeyer is fifth on the all-time Warrior charts for place kick scoring with 138 points. In addition to his kicking and punting coaching duties, Schollmeyer has coached wide receivers, tight ends, plus offensive and defensive lineman during his tenure at Midland Lutheran. Prior to his coaching career at Midland, Schollmeyer coached the quarterbacks, punters and kickers at Valley High School, in Valley, Nebraska from 1983-1989.
Schollmeyer runs his own insurance agency and resides in Fremont with his wife Amy. They have seven children, Tasha, 25, Chuck, 23, Kelly, 21, Adam, 15, Jessica, 12, Emily, 8, and Megan, 6.
